Letter from the Principal

Letter from the Principal

Humboldt Thumb 2

Dear Salt Creek Families,

Welcome to Salt Creek Elementary School and the 2021-2022 school year!

I am honored to serve as the principal and be a member of the Salt Creek community. It is truly a privilege to be somewhere where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

As a school and district, we have been engaged in dialogue and work that will provide students with rigorous, meaningful, and engaging learning opportunities. We are looking forward to collaborating with you to ensure we are doing all that we can in support of your student’s academic and social-emotional success.

I am eager to begin my second year at Salt Creek. Prior to my position here, I served as a middle school principal and middle school math teacher. Last year, I was fortunate to transition to the elementary setting and learned alongside the staff and families supporting K-5 students socially, emotionally, and academically. I have two elementary students at home and understand the challenges and rewards you face every day to ensure your child has the best educational experience possible. This August, my daughter Addison will start fourth grade and my son Matthew will be in second grade. As a parent and educator, I believe in the power of partnerships between the home and the school community. I am confident we will continue our work together to achieve this collective goal for our school community.

I am excited to continue to strengthen relationships with students, teachers, and families I’ve already met, as well as begin new ones. Please don’t hesitate to contact me, as I have an open-door policy and your input and ideas are truly welcome.

I have high expectations that this will be a new and exciting year together, and I genuinely look forward to seeing you all again during the school year.

Sincerely,

Sarah Humboldt
