Letter from the Principal

Letter from the Principal

Dear Salt Creek Families,

Welcome to Salt Creek Elementary School and the 2020-2021 school year!

I am honored to serve as the principal and be a member of the Salt Creek community. It is truly a privilege to be somewhere that parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Although this transition is quite different than the one I imagined, I feel extremely blessed to join the Salt Creek family as we partner to prepare students to be successful for life.

Humboldt Thumb 2Each new school year brings change, and this year is no exception. As a school and district, we have been engaged in dialogue and work that will provide students with rigorous, meaningful, and engaging learning opportunities. We are looking forward to collaborating with you to ensure we are doing all that we can in support of your student’s academic and social-emotional success during this unprecedented time.

I come to Salt Creek with fourteen years of experience in middle school education and first-hand experience of working with my own children in elementary school. This August, my daughter Addison will start third grade and my son Matthew will be in first grade. As a parent and educator, I believe in the power of partnerships between the home and the school community. I understand the challenges and rewards you face every day as you work to ensure your child has the best educational experience. Together, we can achieve the same goals.

I am looking forward to building strong relationships with students, teachers, and families. I have an open-door policy and welcome your input and ideas. I’m looking forward to meeting each of you as we start this new and exciting year together!

Sincerely,

Sarah Humboldt
