Three CCSD59 Staff Receive Incredible Award Recognitions
As we approach the end of the first half of the 2024-25 school year, CCSD59 is proud to celebrate three exceptional staff members who have recently received award recognitions from various organizations.
The District is incredibly grateful for their dedication and commitment to our students, families, and community. Read on to learn more about the recognition these outstanding individuals have received.

- Arllette Antunez, Community Outreach Specialist, was one of two Illinois nominees for the U.S. Department of Education’s 2025 Recognizing Inspiring School Employees (RISE) Award. The RISE Award is a national recognition program that honors extraordinary classified school employees for their outstanding contributions to their school communities.
- Brandi Boyd, Principal at Holmes Junior High School, was named North Cook Region’s Middle School Principal of the Year. The school honored Principal Boyd during a celebration last week and she’ll be formally recognized by the Illinois Principals Association during a banquet in March.
- Julie Botkin, PE Teacher at Rupley Elementary School, was named Chicago Bears Classroom Legend for the week of November 11. Ms. Botkin received a donation for her classroom and was surprised with tickets to see the Bears x Packers game that weekend.
