Dear Salt Creek Families:

On behalf of the entire Salt Creek staff, I welcome you back to the 2018-2019 school year! Salt Creek School is located in Elk Grove Village, IL and is one of 15 schools in Community Consolidated School District 59. I am proud to be entering my second year as the principal of Salt Creek.

As a principal, my first priority is to form positive relationships with all students and their families. The best part of every day is the time I get to spend with kids as they engage in exciting learning experiences in the classroom, or as they have fun with friends at recess time! I love spending time getting to know families during our school events and I strive to provide many different formats for family engagement in the school. Mrs. Tapia, assistant principal, and I look forward to continuing our work with families to make sure our students receive the best educational experiences possible. We believe completely in the district’s mission of “Preparing Students to be Successful for Life.” To that end, we do everything we can to ensure that students have a safe and welcoming school environment and are surrounded by adults who care deeply about them. Teachers plan learning experiences for students that include important life skills, such as perseverance, collaboration, and creativity. Students are empowered to develop leadership skills, to follow their passions, and to become lifelong learners.

On a more personal note, my husband Chad, an 8th grade teacher, and I live in Des Plaines with our son and daughter. As the mother of school-aged children, I know how important it is to have open communication with teachers and administrators at the school in order to maximize student success. It is through the lens of mother and educator that I make every decision at Salt Creek. I feel fortunate to be a part of your children’s lives and I take this role very seriously!

As always, thank you for your trust and support. It is my absolute pleasure to serve the Salt Creek community. Please do not hesitate to contact me any time to set up a meeting or to take a tour of the school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nicole Robinson
